Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 27, 2026 · Version 1.0
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Law Radar (“the Service”), operated by Law Radar (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Law Radar is an AI-powered legal monitoring platform that aggregates court decisions, legislation, regulatory notices, and legal news from publicly available Canadian legal sources. We use artificial intelligence (Anthropic’s Claude) to categorize, summarize, and deliver personalized digests to legal professionals, primarily those practising in Alberta.
2. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Important: Please read this section carefully.
Law Radar uses artificial intelligence to generate article summaries, practice area categorizations, relevance scores, and entity extraction (parties, judges, statutes). These AI-generated outputs are provided for informational and analytical purposes only and are not legal advice.
AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. Specifically:
- Summaries may not capture all relevant details of a decision or statute.
- Practice area categorizations are automated and may be inaccurate.
- Relevance scores are algorithmic estimates, not professional assessments.
- Entity extraction (parties, judges, statutes) may contain errors.
You are solely responsible for verifying all information against primary legal sources before relying on it in any professional capacity. AI-generated summaries are not a substitute for reading the full text of decisions, legislation, or regulatory documents.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
The Service is intended for use by legal professionals and individuals with a legitimate interest in Canadian legal developments. By registering, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Law Radar offers a 14-day free trial. After the trial period, continued access requires a paid subscription. Subscription plans and pricing are displayed at the time of purchase.
- Billing cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, as selected at checkout.
- Automatic renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the end of the paid period.
- Price changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days’ written notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.
5. License and Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal or internal professional purposes, subject to these Terms. This licence does not include the right to sublicense, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content.
6. Acceptable Use

Violation of this section may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days following account deletion to allow for recovery, after which it will be permanently deleted.
14. Modifications to Terms
